    Out of curiosity, why did you go with 8gb RAM instead of 6GB or 9GB to take advantage of the i7 triple channel technology? Especially when 6GB Triple Channel would be way faster than Dual Channel. Not meaning to troll your thread Just wondering.

    sandy bridge/socket 1155 is dual channel. 1366 and 1156 are triple channel.
