I have no idea Flip. I was going to go to Metal supermarket and pick up something steelish? that I can weld. Something that is strong but not too heavy/strong that I can't bend it or work with.

That photo is just something I would like to replicate, but not 100%. Any suggestions or should I take it to a machine shop?

BTW, that's a Hurst Bumper for VW Split Buses. I Don't want my legs to be the 'crumple' zone

I would just rent a Conduit bender and use conduit (****ty to weld). Unless you plan on ramming other vehicles with your Boz bumper.
Rent a 3/4" or 1" pipe bender and buy some pipe.
Use a vice with an oxy-acetylene tourch.
Or build a jig and use the oxy-acetylene.

Or make a drawing and give it to me, I'll get you a quote. Or depending on how much I hate my job this week I may be able to do it in return for beer.
