    Gun Questions

    Hi guys,

I am thinking about getting back into paintball after a pretty long absence. I plan on playing woodsball. I was thinking I would get a SP1 or a TM7 with a Halo Too, and some kind of 68/4500 tank. Most of what I have read online says this will work pretty well and the price is pretty reasonable. Anyways tell me what you think of this setup I would appreciate it.

    Assuming you buy new:

    68/4500 bottle $200-$300

    Halo Too Hopper $80

which leaves 120 for marker which isnt much

Funny that people say an older high end gat is mid range. Older high end gats are still better then mid range gats or low end gats but with use and age are more affordable. Every make has different things about it that are positives or negatives. All a manageable with knowledge of the gat and how to maintain it.

If your into mostly the cosmetic look of the gat for woodsball then an SP1 or something along those lines will work but if you are into performance in accuracy and such then maybe look for an older high end gat. I still have a DM5, that I will probably never sell, that shoots straighter then any milsim style gat out there. And I have never had leaking issues with any of my DMs.

Best of luck with your search. Get what your going to be happy with and it will make all the difference.

Can't go wrong with an SP-1. Stock, they have that low-force bolt and 11bps. The only thing aftermarket you might want to look into is a clamping feedneck and a barrel. Personally, I wouldn't bother with a stock, a tank is much more comfortable. And then in the future if you desire, you can get the blackheart kit and say goodbye to chops. At first the SP-1's were sketchy, but now that SP is making their solenoids in the US, they are much better.

how does the stock feedneck work? will only specific hoppers fit it?

The stock feed neck requires that you use Allen keys to tighten it. I suggested a clamping feed neck because it would make life easier.

Thanks for the info and all the replies everyone. One last question, does anyone have a grey ghost tank and if so what do you think of it?
